never heard of that song or that guy....1973 hummm?
oh well my song all my life has been "Amy what you gona do?"
by Pure Prarie Leauge
That's a great song by Billy Preston. You should try and d/l it sometime. He's sometimes referred to as the "5th" Beatle because he's helped them with some of their songs/recordings.
I always thought the title was "We'll Go 'Round In Circles", but I know exactly what song you're referring to!

Okay why is it everyone else got a song I have heard of? I know my artist but not the song. Here it is.............
Give Me Love ( Give Me Peace On Earth) - George Harrison
I think I am gonna go try to find it so I can listen to it. Hey, I do like peace, and love, but who doesn't?
Good thread.

Doesn't work for me...I have to use my 18th birthday, and "Na Na Na Na...Na Na Na Na...Hey, Hey, (Kiss Him) Goodbye" (1969) is NOT indicative of my "life's song" by any means.
I WAS hoping for "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", which I DO recall as having been popular around my birthday (gotta love a 17-minute drum solo!).

Hey, Debi!
Didn't have to look it up...I already knew "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding was number 1 when I was born AND the remake by Michael Bolton was in the Top Ten during March just 21 years later. I remember hearing Kasey Casem do the countdown during the weekend after my 21st birthday and he mentioned that it had been 21 years since Redding's song was at the top. (And I was born on the 21st.

ROFL - but did Iron Butterfly shape your life in any way?

I have that In-a-gadda-da-vida running through my head. I don't know if I can work now!
