Pay-Per-View becoming less popular.

#1 Postby TexasStooge » Wed Oct 26, 2005 2:00 pm

I was at a diabetic family's house cleaning the last couple of weeks, and I found out that 11 iN Demand Pay-Per-View channels have been taken out of the Comcast Digital Cable line-up, including the previously added PPV Preview channel. Seems that PPV is becoming less popular on some systems, (not like I ever use that kind of subscription) but then again, most of the PPV movies and events are on the Comcast On-Demand package, so that people wouldn't have to wait on the top or bottom of every hour.

Yeah, the Multi-plex premium channels are way better.

The only reason they're keeping 7 PPV Movie channels is that they're interlined with the NASCAR package.

I've checked the cable listing for my area, including their official iN Demand site, and they still said we have all 26 PPV Movie Channels.
