Any News/New Photos On Destruction In The Yucatan Pen.?
Is there any recent news or photos on what is going on in the Yucatan Peninsula from Wilma? I hope everyone may be safe and am interested and concerned in what's going on there. Anyone who has photos/links can post here... it would be appreciated!

Was watching a live sat feed out of the NHC and a few minutes before Mayfield went on someone their asked him if anything has been heard out of the Yucatan and Mayfield said that even the ham radio operators must be knocked out because NHC hasn't heard a peep from the whole area. Although I guess they built the Cancun radar building like a brick sh...er outhouse because it was still on the air and working.

Por Esto! newspaper reported that some Cancun hotels were flooded three stories high. Among the damaged: Hyatt Regency, Camino Real, Coral Beach and Plaza Forum.
In the city of Solidaridad, the walls of the local jail collapsed, so five prisoners made a run for it. Four were captured a short time later, Por Esto! reported, but one escaped without a trace.
A reporter who took advantage of a calm in the storm to check out the streets of Cozumel reported widespread destruction, particularly to light poles.
"The houses with tin roofs and block walls saw their roofs fly off like loose leaf,'' the paper said."

Roads, hospitals, schools, beaches and homes were battered by Hurricane Wilma, Quintana Roo Gov. Félix González Canto said, declaring the storm "like getting hit by four storms at once."
Three people died in Cancún, local media reported, and seven others were seriously injured when a gas tank exploded in Playa del Carmen. Two women gave birth in a Plaza del Carmen shelter.
Cancún General Hospital told the Mexican press that two people died from heart attacks, and another 40-year-old man was killed when a tree fell on him as he stepped outside his house.
"It's imperitive that the people who left their homes go back to safe haven," said Luis Eduardo Perezortiz, emergency chief for the Department of Civil Protection told local media.
Gov. González told the Diario Yucatan that the situation in Cozumel is "grave," but communication is cut off so a full damage assessment hasn't come in.
"The situation is serious," González said. "Trees, fences and billboards invade the streets."
He said radio contact suggest the island's hospitals, maritime industry and communications were most affected.
Hospitals are flooded, mudslides are blocking northern roads, and the containment walls are completely destroyed, according to the Diario Yucatan newspaper.
In Cancún, the paper reported, all the billboards, gas station signs and large hotel ads littered the beach.
"Everything that was green is gone," said Silvia Barrera, business manager of the La Voz de Mexico newspaper, which publishes the Miami Herald international edition there. "Right now the eye is right over us, so with this calm, people are out reinforcing their homes."
Barrera said Radio Ayuntamiento reported the hotel district heavily flooded, and that Lake Nichupte's waters had risen over the hotel zone to merge with the sea.
The station has since stopped broadcasting - its antennae apparently victim of Wilma.
"Of course all the discos and all that is flooded," she said. "The clapboard homes collapsed. I have a 100 year old tree outside my house, the poor thing has just a few little branches left. The younger trees are all on the floor."
Manuela Godoy, municipal president of Isla Mujeres, told Diario Yucatan that the island off the northeast coast of Cancún has seen waves 30 feet high. The island is flooded and the electricity poles down, she said.
Authorities there were ready to get tough and announced plans to jail anyone found in the street.
