I'm pretty sure those fine, scantily clad, beautiful ladies will still be just what they were before wilma, so no, no model changes.

And for the record, VDGU is my favorite model... Vida Guerra.

Brings to mind an image of an annual 'Miss Hurricane' pageant. The winner sits in the NHC and throws darts at a wall map to come up with the forecast path.

A little veiled insult to the NHC here? Lets understand that these individuals at the NHC probably have forgotten more about tracking storms than you would ever know. I find it interesting that the NHC has called every landfall correctly this season. And yet there are still people who despite all the evidence to the contrary will still make a remark such as the one above. Remarks like this during this time are not needed now.

It was nothing more than an amusing mental image that occured to me. Before you run around accusing people of things and then insulting them, maybe you should take a deep breath and see if there really is any basis for it. Perhaps we can write off your imagining things to sleep deprivation with all the excitement, stress, and all. I have nothing but the greatest respect for all the NOAA folks and esp. the NHC. I'm on the edge of my seat every six hours waiting for the latest update.

But you nailed my forecasting expertise. It's perhaps a bit better than throwing darts. :D

Well now I can see that I am in the wrong here regarding my post. I apologize if I sounded insulting. I do see a lot posts in this forum that have bashed the NHC in the past. I thought this could be another. Obiviously I was very wrong and I profusely apologize for that.
