I may have read the map wrong but it looked like 1 of our local mets at 5.. just showed a map that said even if we don't get hit by Wilma directly, I here in Osceola may see STRONG ts winds.. like in the 50-74 mph range.. since I'm in 1 of the southern counties

i'll be surprised if they get that aroung the center of the storm the
way it's panning out.

Strong TS winds would be kinda cool.. I walked around while we got pounded by Gabrielle back in 2001, and during Josephine in 1996, I rode my bike to school.

Strong TS I like.. As I have mentioned before, the power of the winds fascinates me..

John,

The last 2 runs of the GFS and GFDL have soome Cat1 winds even into our NW Osceola area, and tapering off into TS force into Orange County.
Oh, and looks like the GFS is trending northward on the track!
(and lower pressure)

I am kinda liking the sound of that lol.. The strong winds fascinate me like I said..

Although I do pray for anyone in her path.. and yes I did notice that about the GFS..

Tom Terry by the way was the 1 who put up the map about the potential winds..

At what time of day Monday do you think the storm is likely to be clear of Central Florida, if it stays on current path at current speed? (As in, flights would be landing at the international airport in Orlando.) Thanks.

We are swamped today. We were slammed. I wonder if our customers watched the news and saw the storm watches.

I'm wondering right now If I'll absolutely have to report to work on Monday. My guess is "it all depends on Wilma's track". But.. this could get interesting..

We sold close to 26 pallets of water the other day.. and I think another 40 today..

I also read in the HLS on the Melbourne NWS site that Brevard County issued a mandatory evac for it's mobile home residents..

Yep, that's true John. Brevard county, from Titusville south is now under Hurricane Watch. They also canceled schools here for Monday.

See? Good thing we have a Central FL thread huh? LOL! Congrats on your new job BTW. I do follow your Walmart Journal thread...

You're welcome! Just thought she might have forgotten about the other threads she opened on the same subject. It's hard when there are so many! :D
