So does anyone believe a Perfect Storm scenario may happen across the North Atlantic? I mean the other models too are showing so much convergence over the Northeast ahead of the Great Lakes cut-off low. Is it more possible with a hybrid Wilma merging/absorbing into this huge early Arctic outbreak to cause a Storm of the Century? A multifaceted storm sounds likely according to most mets but are being hush-hush until the timing of Wilma is realized.
IMO wouldn't be too unusual since this week is the anniversary of the famous storm. With warmer SST anomalies across the North Atlantic all summer combined with a negative NAO sounds like the best timing for even a 500 yr storm. I mean a possible Alpha put the icing on the cake for me to know a monster bomb in the Atlantic could happen.
I'm a newbie BTW and been lurking and learning from all you cool weather geeks like me. Storm2k rules!!!!
