Scary stuff . . .

#2 Postby WeatherNole » Thu Oct 20, 2005 6:13 pm

I haven't seen any national media coverage of Wilma today - but I hope they're mentioning just how potentially catastrophic this could be.

Jeff Masters said it very well:

"As Wilma sits in place for two days, the long duration of high winds will cause far more damage than a quickly moving storm would. The long duration extreme winds will probably cause some of the worst wind damage ever seen in a hurricane. . . . . . . . Wilma is likely to be Mexico's worst weather disaster in history.
