path, maybe because they are experiencing something like this for the first time this late in the season.

If she does continue to slow the tracks can be tossed out the window and we will have to start fresh again.

Well, to be fair, when I hopped online this morning and found out that Wilma had gone from a Tropical Storm to the strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic as quickly as it had, I was fairly unsettled myself.

I woke up, put on TWC, and said "you've got to be kidding me"...i went to bed fairly early and it was a Category ONE.

when we see phenomena that are out of the bounds of recorded observation history, it's natural to be unsure of ourselves!
I think I would be skeptical if the NHC and other scientists announced that they had all the answers at this point!
