I don't know about my fellow Sarasotans...but I'm officially concerned. Waking up to a Cat 5 superstorm is not what I had in mind...

I'm very concerned too.......just woke up and I cant believe my eyes. It's like I'm in a bad dream and i need to pinch myself. I dont know whether to be concerned or not. This storm has my baffled. Models are showing south but some of the pro mets on here are saying farther north landfall. How good are the models 4 days out?

Thank you SkeetoBite. I don't think we're out of the woods yet. This storm is not following climatology yet but then again this season hasn't as the NHC has pointed out.

Fellow Sarasotans, we're still in the CONE OF DEATH so please, pay attention and stay focused. Just remember the very sudden jog Charley took last year before getting complacent and saying "we're safe"....
