LOL, sats indicate more like a Cat 3. The measurement was probably contaminated and inaccurate.

around 145-150mph.

Recon had to quickly pull up to 10,000ft afterwards.

TWC just confirmed - 901 mb, flight level winds over 175 mph at 5000 ft, eye 4 miles in diameter - Warren Madden (hurricane hunter), just said never seen an eye so small.

What I'm reading isnt true is it? 901 mb? with 145-150mph winds. Its was barely 110 when i got home from work has been only few hours. thats insane.!

I hope it doesn't continue to rapidly intensify. Hopefully there is a fundamental barrier just a few milibars away where it stops dropping 10mb an hour.... :eek: :eek: :eek:
