If a hurricane catches anyone off-guard in the US for the rest of the year, it would have to mean they hadn't watched TV in months. With the KatRita situations, it should be crystal clear by now that hurricanes aint no joke and that forecasts are never set in stone -- especially when landfall is still 5 days away. The entire FL peninsula should be monitoring/preparing for potentially serious effects from Wilma.

Absolutely!!! no doubt. EVERYONE in FLORIDA should keep an eye and ear out because even sustained tropical force winds can cause a lot of damage not to mention the tornados that are embedded into a 'cane' especially a major one. Be prepared, be safe. Most of all, use common sense and follow the direction of the Florida EOC. Florida is the leader in hurricane preparedness. I trust that we all know what to do. If they say leave, then leave, don't wait till the last minute....no ifs ands or buts.
