If you could experience any hurricane you wanted with no aftermath(wouldnt that be nice for those of us in FL, MS, AL, LS, and TX) which one would you pick and why??? I would love to have seen Camille at its peak and see once and for all exactly how intense it truly was.

Isabel at her cat 5 peak was the most perfectly symmetrical storm I have seen.

She certainly was the best looking Cat 5 of the long trackers.

That doesn't look like Isabel or any hurricane to me. But I've never been through a hurricane, so I could be barking up the wrong tree.

That picture is from a tornado chase in Nebraska last summer. Some fools have been trying to pass off pictures like this for the last year as the beginnings of a hurricane approaching. It isn't!!!!

The only storm to possibly hold the title of the strongest. Storm sat at T8.0 and some analysis I read once said that the pressures were taken before pressures were able to peak in accordinance to the representation of the banding. I believe such dvorak numbers indicate a storm of < 871mb.

I could be wrong, but very nice structure especially the core and eye.

Gilbert in 1988 has been one of my favorites because of the enormous size it was apart from the lowest pressure to date in the Atlantic 888 mbs.

Hurricane Floyd and Andrew would be my picks. They define what a Hurricane really is in my book. The satellite of Floyd in his peak looks the best to me.

Well, if you want my list of what hurricanes scared the crap out of me, my picks would be Andrew, and Floyd, because of their strength and proximity. Of course Frances was kinda scary for us down here too for a while, when it was out in the bahamas......
