Max Mayfield

#1 Postby Cookiely » Thu Oct 13, 2005 1:15 pm

Did anyone see the program on the Discovery Channel on hurricanes this past week? It showed Max Mayfield looking at a screen of a radar image and he said "I've never seen an eye last this long over land". The phone rang and I didn't get to see the rest of the program. Was he referring to Katrina? Did the eye stay closed the longest over land of any storm?

He was talking about how Katrina kept a well defined eye through eastern Louisiana and into Mississippi.
