Extensive aerial flyover video MS Damage

#1 Postby Agua » Mon Oct 10, 2005 3:59 pm

I don't know how widely broadcast these flyover videos were, but I watched them where I evacuated to during the periods where we had enough gas to run a generator.

Choose "Skycopter on the Coast" first, second and third tours on the right.

[Edit to include the following: "First Tour" is essentially Long Beach to Biloxi. "Second Tour" is Pascagoula, Gautier, and Ocean Springs. "Third Tour" is Waveland, Bay St. Louis, Western Pass Christian].

For those of us on dialup, it's painfully slow to load. Just rechecking them while at school. Found it interesting that the guy on the copter would say that winds in Hattiesburg/Laurel area must have been around 100 mph. I lived thru it and agree with him LOL.

That was the first pics of video I have seen of Waveland and the Bay area.Leaves one to believe that while I might agree with the H-wind analysis of Gulfport and E on the most part. The trees are possibility saying something different in that area.Does not appear to be a marginal Cat 3 maybe an upper end Cat 3.

Hard to even reply...that stuff was just too devastating.

On a side note though, I learned something new. You know how you can read a word or name a gazillion times and *think* you know how it's pronounced?

I had to look at a map of Pascagoula and then look at places around it in order to figure out where they were talking about in the video when they said "Go-shay."

Gautier...go figure. :)
