Intersesting little feature off SC

#1 Postby Okibeach » Wed Oct 12, 2005 3:06 am

Was suprised to see this little thing appear:

FXUS62 KILM 120541 AAA
AFDILM

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION...UPDATED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON NC
141 AM EDT WED OCT 12 2005

.UPDATE...
INTERESTING MESOLOW HAS DEVELOPED APPROXIMATELY 40-50 MILES EAST OF
GEORGETOWN SC...MOVING WNW AT AROUND 10 MPH. THE PRESSURE GRADIENT
HAS BECOME RATHER TIGHT AROUND THE PERIPHERY OF THIS FEATURE AS
SHOWN BY 31 KT GUSTS IN THE PAST HOUR AT BUOY 41013...AND 27 KT
GUSTS AT BUOY 41004. HAVE UPDATED THE COASTAL WATERS FORECAST SOUTH
OF LITTLE RIVER INLET TO INCREASE SPEEDS TO A SOLID 20 KT FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THE OVERNIGHT. AS THIS LOW CROSSES THE STATIONARY FRONT
OFFSHORE AND MOVES DEEPER INTO THE RELATIVELY COOL AIRMASS WEST OF
THE BOUNDARY...WEAKENING SHOULD HOPEFULLY OCCUR. WILL CONTINUE TO
CLOSELY MONITOR...

I see something a lot further east...looks to be near 35N 65W? that's our upper low/remnant of subTD 22 right?

This is the link. This morning you could clearly see a circulation with the showers around it. I was hesitant to post it as it is supposed to diminsh but just thought it was interesting feature that popped up suddenly and the discussion made it sound like they were surprised by its formation.
