Aww Karen!! Not true...even though I bring it up at least once a year. I think there is more awareness on this board all the time that we exist (we including ALL the little spits of islands). It is just human nature to look in your own backyard and we do it here too...once it's above the line..we're sorry (well, not quite the case with Katrina and Rita and some others in the past) but for the most part, we're heaving sighs of relief and looking east again.
This thread has been really good for me and I appreciate it being here a lot. I think it has let some others know how it doesn't take much to have a pretty horrific impact on small islands (Culebra is ridiculously small, I don't just mean us), and why we have such a hugely strong respect for hurricanes and being prepared as possible for them.
Anyway girl, put some Bailey's in that coffee and go dig up some chaney! It's PERFECT weather for it!

Well I certainly do care , I have been checking this subject all day worried about how much more rain you all have gotten. Doesn't matter where these floods happen, New Orleans, Henry, Esther or Caribbean, families and homes are effected. Ceye are you doing okay through all of this? Also, Janice are you on line?

Well, THAT was bizarre! A two minute mini hurricane...knocked over all my lawn furniture, dumped rain, waves on the bay and now, back to our regularly scheduled overcast rain spitter with fairly low wind. Sheesh!
