Help I'm lost on the Invests!!!

I need help. On the 1st Navy site:http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/tc_pages/tc_home.html I see Invest 94 and nothing listed for Invest 97. On the 2ndary Navy site:http://tcweb.fnmoc.navy.mil/tc-bin/tc_home.cgi, Invest 97 is listed, but not Invest 94.

So, are both "dead"? I've read both links here in the forum and they both seem active, but not likely to TD. Can someone help me? Is the Navy either ahead or behind? I didn't realize that 94 had dissipated, but I'm still teaching myself how to read the NHC tropical discussion and I'm offically confused as the the status of both.

Niether are dead- both are getting pretty active
97 is north of puerto rico, 94 just east of the islands at
the entrance to the carribean on its eastern side (sorry I don't
recall the island names)...

NRL has been slow the past few days. 97L is active(just popped up this morning), 94L? Was that the one that moved over Cuba a few days ago?

There haved not been runs from the models for 94L for over 24 hours so I assume it is dead.

When an invest drops off, it doesn't mean it's "dead," but rather they aren't running models on it anymore. Essentially the need to "investigate" is no longer there.

But by definition, wouldn't that mean the loss of the invest? As in it's not an "area of interest" tropical-development wise anymore?

With apologies to PR and surrounding area's torrential rains....
