Looks as if the season is not over yet. They still look very weak waves comin off the coast.

I actually fear the Cape Verde season the most when "waves" look like this:::



That means there is moisture...unlike how there might be one big wave is a whole bunch of dry air.

CV is history.
No way anything coming off gets the least bit of support at this point.
Just can't see it.

That image really puts Vince's size into perspective.

And I think that any CV storms we see for the rest of the year will recurve before reaching the islands. They can still form well out into the Atlantic all through October though, even barring Vince's bizarre example. And then there are close-in storms from the Caribbean, GOM, and that hotspot in the Bahamas that's been popping them out like crazy this year.

Vince ist not a CV hurricane, it was a non-tropical low before it get tropical characteristics. IMHO the cv season is over. In this yeas nothing can't ruled out, but in the next few days there is only nothing to form in this region.
