Lots of shear. Very little chance for anything to get organized. Looks like a wet few days for Cuba, Hispanola, Puerto Rico, and the Islands though.

I agree.Lots of convection but little chance for anything to develop out of this.

Look at the satellite picture again. The Caribbean is the sea south of Cuba/Hispanola and Puerto Rico.

I know where the Caribbean Sea is. The only convection there really of any significance is south of Puerto Rico. Other than that and clouds close to landmasses, the caribbean is fairly clear.

Seriously looking at the graphic that was posted,
if one looks at the WHOLE thing, it looks like a gigantic CAT 10, Turned Inside OUT. :lol:

Well it was quite the ride this afternoon. LadyCat went into the safe room!! Quiet now.

**** NOTICE TO ALL BOAT OWNERS NE CARIBBEAN ****

If you own a boat, or know someone who does, please be advised: Very unusual SW to W winds expected tonight. All docked boats should today either reposition or put out extra lines and fenders in anticipation of S to W winds 28kts or MORE, beginning tonight or early Monday. Boats tied to south or west/facing beaches should rig stern anchor to SW, or at least drop back from shore for bow anchor. All boats at anchor should have two anchors laid, and along with boats on moorings, insure plenty of swing room and protection against chafing.
