245 PM EDT MON MAY 19 2003

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RUSKIN HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
CENTRAL PINELLAS COUNTY IN FLORIDA.

* UNTIL 315 PM EDT

* AT 245 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
TORNADO DEVELOPING IN THE CLEARWATER AREA...MOVING SOUTH AT 5 MPH.

* THE TORNADO WILL AFFECT...
CLEARWATER BY 245 PM EDT.
INDIAN ROCKS BEACH BY 300 PM EDT.
LARGO BY 310 PM EDT.
PINELLAS PARK BY 315 PM EDT.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM! MOVE INTO THE INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR OF A STURDY BUILDING...AWAY FROM WINDOWS. COVER YOUR HEAD AND
BODY WITH PILLOWS OR BLANKETS.

Rough weather across the bay too. This is where my family is - Carrollwood section of Tampa.
Both storms crawling at 5 mph. I suspect some urban flooding going on too.

NORTHWESTERN HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY IN FLORIDA.

* UNTIL 330 PM EDT

* AT 254 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH LARGE HAIL...OVER LUTZ...MOVING SOUTHEAST
AT 5 MPH.

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT...
LUTZ.
CARROLLWOOD.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CONTAIN WIND GUSTS OF 60 MPH OR HIGHER...AND
HAIL THE SIZE OF PENNIES OR LARGER. MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY.

I am waiting for the storms meandering east of me to get a push from the seabreeze and come this way??? :roll:

I am not sure if this will happen..they are moving in all different directions :o Last night they came within a few miles and missed me..we shall see :wink:

OMG, my father-in-law lives in Indian Rocks Beach. And we have other family members from Cincinnati down there visiting him. One in particular is disabled....what time was this? Earlier today? Sure hope it didn't materialize.

Just checked current conditions for IRBeach. Storms are not over with, just yet. That is such a narrow piece of land there at Indian Rocks....

It stayed north of the Seminole area, which is where StromLover (another Storm2K member) is from. Thank goodness!
