I know right now, it's in a pretty favorable environment. Shear ranges from 10 to 15 knots.

The moist MJO and decreasing shear may allow for
some development- as NHC has indicated...so I won't write this
off yet...

TBH, I know how ya feel. every tropical system with decent rain seems to find a way to steer around the tampa bay area. Not gonna happen this time becuz with this set up we dont need a tropical cyclone to get some heavy rain outta this one. :P

It would excite me greatly to see heavy amounts of rainy convection
explode and rapidly move in my general direction as nothing more than
rain and a little wind :D

This storm has hybrid (subtropical) written all over it. AFM repeatly stated this the last couple of days. You can see it in the upper air pattern with the trough diving due south in the central Gulf. It's going to deepen somewhat but will probably never reach hurricane status or even strong tropical storm status because of the dry air and upper air dynamics. Hybrid systems though can produce gale force conditions (typical of nor' easters) and heavy rains. All the weather will be on the east side as these systems are asymmetrical.

Once the Shear lets up
93L will explode...

Convection blowing up on East and SE sides
once the MLC converges over the LLC within the
next 24 hours- BOOM! yesterday it boomed over
land over yucatan- those cloud tops were
horribly high!
Very positive MOIST MJO the highest in the basin
is over 93L

My interpretation of AFM's discussions on a hybrid system related to Tammy. Part of it would split off and be tropical and the other part (going north?) would be a hybrid. Did I misunderstand? I'll see if I can find the discussion.

BIG Change:

I'd like my CROW fried if necessary:
Shear has utterly DESTROYED 93L
I predict 93L will continue to die and be nothing but a few showers
It was a big threat earlier...now its very little...no big threat

93L is ripped to death...good night tropics...
I'm writing this weakling off...

It would be funny if it explodes into a strong tropical storm within the next several hours, which I doubt.

93L has been completely shredded by shear...and the rain
may miss my area and go into S. FL...
Written off my list- that's for sure
Just got shredded almost as fast as it exploded earlier...
