no way does it make it back out to sea. Maybe Savannah is as far north as it gets.

We are getting pounded with rain. Hasn't let up in 2 hours. No winds, just pouring tropical rain.

It comes and goes here. I had to run get a package I had on the mailbox and was drenched from head to toe by the time I came back inside. Now it isn't raining here at all.

Skidaway Island

Gusty winds...constant rain....moderate....like a new england NorEaster, only warmer.....even the storm has a comma head appearance like the noreasters....noted that the storm is strengthening in the NHC update at 2pm. Don' t see how this could get a lot stronger....Bastardi says, I hear, minimal hurricane....is this thing really a true tropical storm?

I don't think it is either.. A lot of dry air in the Southwest quadrant, it's more of a symmetrical Nor'Easter with a comma head.

Folks up north dont underestimate this storms wrath. Last night I was fishing at Jetty Park Cape Canaveral lasted about a hr before torrential rain very heavy winds forced us to leave. I am guessing 40mph gust. Good luck up north.

Then it will probably move SE, given their track record this week.

Look at the NoAA NWS radar from Jacksonville. It looks like the NW side of the center of Tammy is on shore .. Could this be a landfall.?

no advance - I was just getting ready to post about that as well as the south side seems to be pretty exposed.

It will definitely skim for a little ways before coming completly onshore, but it does look like its almost onshore now.
