Yes, I love thunderstorms. When they are severe, I do get nervous but I can't help it...I love the sound of hard rain and loud thunder and watching lightning. Tornadoes make me nervous though - I do have a fear that one will hit my house but we take cover when necessary. We had a close call this past October when one hit around the corner from my house. The damage started less than 1/4 mile from my house. It turned out to be an F1 - pretty strong for this area. Crazy me was out camcording the storm when it got really loud and we lost power...I couldn't see the tornado because of all the trees around my house though.

Call me nuts...but I love the excitement of a good, strong thunderstorm. I just don't want it to be bad enough to cause property damage or injuries. Some people think I'm crazy, but I bet some of you understand, right?

I love to sit on the porch and watch the thunderheads build up. I find them increadebly beautiful. Nothing to me is more awsome than watching lightning, especially at night over the ocean. Heavy rain and thunder get my blood flowing! LOVE IT. It is so true, a love hate relationship. I Love to watch storms and see the power of nature, but I hate hearing about property being destroyed or worse, people being hurt. I will admit I am terrified of tornados. I have never seen one, but just the thought of one coming down on my head sceeeers me senseless :o

I like some storms, so long as there aren't any tornadoes. Hail isn't bad, and winds aren't terrible, but I do not like tornadoes!

Nothing quite like 'em! I've always enjoyed watching them and being part of them. While others head for shelter, I'm the one who stays up top and outside until I just can't do it any longer!

But...there is a serious side. I do respect them, too. I do not take great chances with them. I realize in a battle of nature and me...I would lose!

I love watching a boiling cumulonimbus against a sharp blue sky or at sunset against Dennis' mountains to the east. Awe-inspiring.

When I was a kid, thanks to my grandparents who ran
over, every time it thundered, I was afraid of the storms.
But, as I have gotten older, I find them to be fascinating!
