Looks like a break from the rain for me for awhile (looking at the radar). Our local met's have landfall very close to my area, but fortunately it looks to me like the worst of the wind (such as it is) and the heavy rain will not affect me.

joe says " the storm should stay offshore, and is peeling away from the uppper low. conditions at outflow levels are improving by the munute. situation from northeastern florida to the carolinas should monitor closely as with 18 hours to go before landfall, in my opinion." his words not mine i just like reading him and i know he is a very smart man, i have not been able to get a good pic of the actual low to see what why it is moving does anyone have a good pic yet

Right now, it is HERE (29.28, -81.056)--North Peninsual Volusia/Flagler area. Conditions are not too bad, as the bulk of the winds are in the NE quad, and that is out to sea. Rain has been in bands, and winds are E to ENE at around 20 or so--some gusts to the 30's. It is moving rapidly, and the center seems to be moving away from the coast a bit. I don't buy Joe B's hurricane jive, unless this thing tracks further out to sea and goes into the Carolinas. It is going parallel to the Fla coast, and will probably make the FL/Ga border area, looking at Melbourne radar now.

LOL...I concur.
Well, it's moving due north, distancing itself away from the coast, moving over the Gulf Stream, and radar presentation is looking much better around the center. Hmmmmmmm.
Should I go ahead and start marinating the Crow?
(BTW I'm not sure it will become a 'cane either, but I think it's a bit early to discount such a forecast as bunk
