Anyone Play Sodoku?

#1 Postby Dee Bee » Tue Oct 04, 2005 7:31 pm

I tried a few sodoku puzzles while I was visiting Minneapolis last week, and I'm HOOKED! The Palm Beach Post carries a sodoku each weekday.

Here's a sodoku archive url which has a link to a new puzzle daily, as well: http://www.sudoku.cc/sudoku-archive.htm

Most websites indicate a pronunciation somewhere between SUE DOCK OO and SUE DOO KUE. However you say it, I love this game! :D

I have been hooked since mid July. I keep a book in my truck and do one whenever I am waiting for a kid to finish practice. I used to use the time to read my magazines, now they are piling up, unread.

Thanks, CajunMama -- I was visiting friends in Chicago when that thread was posted and missed it entirely!

Dee Bee, I was away also, never saw that thread! I was sitting on an island (in the adirondacks), beer in one hand, pencil in the other, solving sudokus!

I don't know about you, but I really prefer the pencil and paper version as opposed to the computer.

Actually, I've never played it on the computer; I've printed the versions from the website I mentioned above. Since I've solved the lower levels mostly by writing the possibilities in each empty box before using a second round of elimination (and finally just plain guessing if necessary), I think I need to stick to paper versions!
