Am I reading this correct???

#1 Postby brunota2003 » Tue Oct 04, 2005 2:23 pm

From Mark Sudduth:
We have a complex weather system east of the Bahamas that might develop later in the week. I also notice on the latest run of the GFS that we could see additional development from the Gulf of Mexico and again in the southwest Atlantic even after this week passes. It is possible that we will see two or three systems over the next week to 10 days form close to the United States and adjacent land areas. It is difficult to say right now where that development will take place- but keep your eyes open- October is going to be quite busy as it already has been.
If so, 2 to 3 systems, after the Bahamas one, close to home in ten days??? If this happens, then could we be looking at some serious flooding here in NC, as we are all ready satured here in Havelock and are suppose to get rain all week, then the Bahamas system, then the other 2 to 3, if they develop and hit NC, I think I am going to move NC to the west coast...

Go to the West Coast and deal with wildfires, more earthquakes, mudslides (when you get like... 1/10 inch of rain) and... worst of all... West coasters.

its speculation. long range models arent very accurate. I remember times in the year when it would show 3 huge cape verde storms at once. Dont worry too much
