It's really just a harmless story.. I haven't written anything bad yet and actually am almost done..

I don't plan on having it "published". All I plan on doing is letting the sloppy copy be read by those that wanna see it, and that'll be the end of it probably. If anyone wants copies, I'll type the darn thing up and attempt to make the copies.

This isn't gonna be some stupid tell all type thing like when Canseco was calling out people who did steroids lol.

But whatever.. This is the 1 thing I'll be openly honest about you guys about.. Whenever I wanna do something, If you guys automatically think it's a bad idea.. you get hypocritical on me. It's like nobody ever supports me, or just calmly says "watch what you're doing". Ya'll are like "It's gonna get you fired"

Most of fellow associates actually wanna know what I personally have thought about my 1st year and they think this isn't a bad idea at all.

I'm just gonna finish the sloppy copy, and if anyone else wants copies, I'll type them up and print them out. It's not like this is a "How much I hate Wal Mart" story cause it's not.

John - Don't take it personally - I see it that everyone here cares alot about you and want the best for you. They want to make certain you don't do anything to jeopardize all you have accomplished. Unfortunately there are those that may not take kindly to some things said about themselves if they see it in print. They all obviously want you to succeed and only want the very best for you as I said above. I think the story sounds like a great idea but maybe if you just leave names out and try to concentrate on the best things that have happened and be careful not to dwell on the bad in it. You are so well liked here it is obvious and noone wants to hurt you - just rying to help is all.

I know that Artist.. I didn't mean that rant the way it came out.. and I haven't mentioned names.. If I have used any quotes from associates.. I have written things before it like "this associate who wants to remain unidentified believes.." or something like that..

I'm only mentioning little bits and pieces about the bad things, and I'm writing about the good ones..

Hi All..

Woo hoo! I am 1 WEEK AWAY from the end of my 1st year. My 1st anniversary with Wal Mart {God Willing} is next Saturday 10/15. I am happy. I sometimes can't believe I have made it this long.

An update on my not so controversial story. I have decided to go ahead and finish it up. I am down to 3 chapters to go. I will write about management. {Nothing bad.. everything will be rated PG or lower I promise lol}. I will write up my list of 2nd yr goals, and I'll have a special thanks section to all those.

I also considered doing my top 5 best/worst moments of my 1st year. But, I may leave that be lol..

Also.. We are in a battle with store #908 in Orlando. Apparently there is a competition going on right now between us and 908 as to which store can raise the most $ for CMN. I have found a way to contribute to the cause.

Starting Tuesday, I will begin selling tickets for a raffle. The prize will be my sloppy copy of my story. {My rough draft} because there is a buzz growing as I approach the end of it.

Although.. Before I just flat out give away the rough draft, I will type up a copy and save it on a disk, that way I will still have it, in case I end up needing to print more copies.

Anyway.. that's about it from here

As of 6pm ET.. I am no longer a cart pusher.. I had my last day in the parking lot today and begin my 1st week in produce at 7am tomorrow..

I'm excited :)

I also thought I'd mention.. During the morning meeting this morning, I got up to make an impromptu speech about my 1st year.. I almost couldn't finish it. I broke down and cried..

Wal Mart may not always be so glamorous, but we treat everybody like we're brother and sister. which is 1 of the reasons why I love it there..

Another funny moment too.. I was talking to my new boss. and him and I were talking about he was really the only 1 that wanted to give me a chance. and I told him how motivated I was.. I kinda let a curse word or 2 drop lol.. He laughs and goes.. "Look out, ya know Johnny's motivated when he's swearing lol"

 It was a good last day of cart pushing..

I have survived my 1st year.. woo hoo :)

What an unbelievably stress free and great 1st day produc-ing lol..

I have learned a lot, I know proper ways to display things.. When to throw things out, I even learned how to place an order on this machine called a talzon..

On top of that.. You should see how much LESS stress I have. I am more care free, more relaxed, and definitely better..

Here's an interesting note.. During a Saturday Morning PA announcement, by our store boss.. He mentioned those with anniversaries.. For mine he goes.. "You used to seem him pushing buggies, now he's pushing bananas.. so if you see John in Produce, wish him a happy 1st anniversary".. lol..

I also found out my store boss does a thing called the "Saturday Morning Snicker Doodle".. It's where he asks 6 seperate questions, If you're the 1st to call him back at his extension with the correct answer, you win a Snicker Bar

I was doing throw aways/inventory whatever.. and heard him ask every question and was mad because I didn't know where the nearest phone is in the back room lol.. I told him.. "Can you tell the produce manager that I wanna work day shift on Saturday" lol

What a fun start to my 2nd year..
