Gilbert, in reading the discussion, they don't have a good grasp on where 20 may go. There is even a chance it dissipates as well...

THE
OFFICIAL FORECAST CONTINUES THE TREND OF THE PREVIOUS ADVISORY OF
MOVING THE CYCLONE WEST-SOUTHWESTWARD INTO MEXICO... ALBEIT AT A
SLOWER SPEED THAN THE PREVIOUS TRACK. HOWEVER...THE CONFIDENCE THAT
THIS WILL HAPPEN IS DECREASING.

South Texas is still very much highly in the game.

Dear Anthysteg, I agree with you, but not because of what they said--I actually don't think Texas or Louisiana should let their guard down right now, especially the way this season has gone so far. The fact that they're not sure of the position, they're not sure of the speed, and they're not sure of the direction should make everyone stop and take note. On satellite, it looks to be going north of west, and more north than what they say. Personally I think it will cross 21N before it exits the Yucatan, but hey, let's just wait and see.

check out the recon thread for specifics, but the latest FL wind data shows a peak reading of 52kts just a short time ago. So I anticipate an update within the hour to upgrade this to TS Stan.
