Its becoming less organized right now. The LLC/MLC has become exposed over the last 2 hours. That decreases the chances for this to become a tropical depression.

It decreases the chance of it becomming a tropical depression today, but it doesn't decrease the chance of it becomming a depression tomorrow or the next day. We know how fast these things can organize.

I cannot tell if that swirl at the SW edge of the swirl is at the surface or not, but it looks close. Regardless it won't remain as long as it remains convectionless near its center.

Looks like a bit of a spin to me. And I don't think I see any shear from the west or SW. Could ramp up kinda quick, I think...

That small blow up near what appears to be the center is getting cold cloud tops on WV, let's see if it grows over the next couple of hours. If it does we got lift off IMO.

Looks like a solid build up right to the west of a possible circulation as mentioned...

Im impressed with the outflow of the system to the west and north. This baby looks like it wants to take off.

This looks to be lifting out to the north towards Jamaica. If it keeps going it will cross over western Cuba. It's moving at a pretty good clip as well, I don't think it will ever make it to the Yucatan, or the BOC for that matter but we'll see.

dont be fooled by that. those are due to the upper level winds blowing the clouds in that northerly direction.

there only is a mid-level circulation....there's no surface circulation right now
