Just a quick note in case you thought you were at the WWF site; there is a HUGE cat4 hurricane in the gulf. Looks like it's going to hit Texas, but it's so big it looks like its going to hit Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and maybe a bit of Oklahoma before it's all over. You should check it out.
HeeeHeeeHeee!!! Yes sir, it's worth takin' a gander at!!!

AccuWeather is probably the first weather organization to use the tabloid approach when to comes to their on-air style.

Hopefully those in Congress know of the very good relationship between various elements of NOAA and The Weather Channel for the past 23 years.

The other night I happened to tune in to a cable channel in time to hear Joe Bastardi complaining that the NHC hadn't issued a hurricane warning for the southeast Florida coast (it wasn't needed), and, in my opinion he came across as someone who wants to be in the media spotlight for more than 15 seconds (I'm sure at this point, those at the NHC would be glad to give him 15 hours - the past few weeks have been draining on the NHC staff, as everyone else).

Those at AccuWeather better remember the old saying - nobody likes a person who complains all the time...

I've written the main anchors at Fox. Bastardi and Accuweather shouldn't be allowed to get away with this stuff any more! The hidden agenda (S786) needs to be exposed!!

My mom actually thinks I should like Joe Bastardi (she also likes Fox the best). Nothing against her, since she is my mother, but I bet her opinion would change if she went online and saw some of his bashings on the NWS.

Bastardi is a big ol' donkey. All bray, no style, and his momma wears combat boots he stole from Stacy Stewart.

I've also heard about stuff happening between Bastardi and Santorum's dog.

LOL, Accuweather crying like babies again! It seems like all they *know* how to do is complain about the NHC...their forecasts sure don't amount to much.

Accuweather is a joke, especially their local forecasts, which I find completely useless.

JB must be in hog heaven, because the recent unbelievable activity in the Gulf has resulted in his "sky is falling" predictions actually coming to fruition.

Earlier in the season, I saw a graphic he posted about highest risks for hurricane landfalls this season. He had the entire coast highlighted from Cape Hatteras down to Florida and all the way around the Gulf Coast through Texas.

DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Granted, he did have the Central Gulf Coast highlighted for highest risk of all, and so he did get it right on recognizing that pattern. But overall, his schematic was pretty gee-duh stupid. That was like saying that the highest risk for earthquakes this year was around the Ring of Fire in the Pacific.
