#1 Postby THead » Wed Sep 21, 2005 9:03 pm

Is hurricane related, started off with a hurricane hunter flying into a hurricane. Might be an interesting diversion..........or not.......

Is it a movie? With like the sheriff or something who just found a stash? I don't get ABC.

It's a TV show premiering tonight. It's quite strange so far...

Aliens and strange things invade Homestead after a hurricane hits... yes. After the 1st episode it's not about the hurricane at all. Very sci-fi-ish.

I think we have some here already LOL

Anyway, have watched the show and the story is ok, I guess. I find the fact that the kids were in school to be slightly far-fetched as they obviously would've been closed. Them putting up plywood as the storm is hitting is, unfortunately, something that occurs.

I think I"m giving it till the next commercial break and then we'll see. If it doesn't become a tad better I may not watch again.....

It begins with the hunter breaking into the eyewall droping the dropsonde. The pressure was 936mb, but the radar shot looked just like you know who. Freaky.

Ok, we switched channels. Y'all can fill me in on what happened after Dave saw the skull in the swamp. Hubby doesn't find it to believable which means I won't get to watch it week to week, and I admit, I'm not sold on it yet either....

It was kind of fun picking apart the hurricane-related set dressing. They did a very nice job with the debris piles, but then they had the little girl sitting on a bedspread that would be wet & funky because of the missing roof.

They also needed to loop in some chainsaw sound effects on the post-storm recovery scenes.

Little too freaky for me... ratings should be good since it followed Lost's Season Premiere, but they may not hold up. If they fall significantly next week, it's a goner. 10pm Wednesday is a tough slot...

I watched it, I generally like sci-fi. I'd probably watch it again, but that's usually the CSINY time slot.

Me too... my first remark was "That's a LOT of lightning for a hurricane". :P

The freaky stuff is to come... very sci-fi-ish.

Yeah, at the end I was waiting for the lady doc and sherriff to take off their skin and start some alien mating ritual or sumthin.
