Models Shifting--MORGAN CITY!?!

#1 Postby gk1 » Wed Sep 21, 2005 8:56 pm

Just logged onto S2k and noticed that new model runs are beginning to separate. One of the latest model runs show a strike on Morgan City??? That a hard sell to me. Any opinions???

If the model your talking about is the A98E, then just ignore it. It usually appears as a yellow line on model maps...Its worthless so ignore it. I believe its based on statistics and what other storms in the area have done.

For those wondering, Morgan City is in the middle of Louisana.

If the storm stalls out long enough it would pushed northward as the high pressure over that region will be leaving as it also weakens over the next 24 hours, which was going to push it north to begin with. The longer it stalls, the further east it'll hit.

Morgan City is a bit of stretch, but I'd say it's pretty possible that it could hit the LA/TX border.

You must be talking about the A98E. That's not a real model so don't pay attention to it.
