While all eyes are focused on Rita (somehow that Beatles song will never be the same now, don't see anything lovely about a CAT 5 storm) - I think we've got a subtropical system developing around 23N-60W. An ULL seems to be merging with the LLC of wandering Phillipe. The whole disturbance seems to be moving west. I think this is what JB is saying. When the High Pressure emerges off New England this weekend, it'll serve to rev up this system and carry it across FL. We'll see - lot's of ifs, ands, or buts. If it does delvelop, be interesting if it become tropical or stays a hybrid.
