Other way around. I'm sure one of the pros can explain it, but if you want a fish storm, you want it to develop far east. The longer they take to develop, the more westward it will go.

The slower it develops, the farther south.

A stronger system is more likely to be pulled northward.

In terms of the Lesser Antilles islands the more time it takes to develop the more close it will get to them.

THE LONG RANGE MODELS ARE STILL SPLIT IN TRYING TO DEVELOP A LOW
PRESSURE WITH THIS TROPICAL WAVE...AND MOVE IT TROUGH THE FLORIDA
KEYS OR SOUTH FLORIDA FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK. SO AT THIS TIME PLAN
ON KEEPING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE FORECAST
FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK UNTIL THE MODELS CAN COME MORE IN LINE WITH
EACH OTHER ON THE DEVELOPMENT OR NO DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOW.

This slower it develops the bigger is the chance for a more northern track, isn't it? ..

I think its more like, the weaker the storm the more west it will go.
