Help with Historic Records
OK. I am an avid Wikipedia writer (for those of you that don't know, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia), and I am currently writting summaries on each storm each season. The problem is, there isn't any data about some storms, especially subtropical storms. The 1969 season comes to mind, as the 4 unnamed ones and the 1 subtropical one are not listed on the NHC archives or the Monthly Weather Review (http://www.aoml.noaa.gov/general/lib/li ... page13.htm). Does anybody have a site that might have those extra storms? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Go to the NHC site.
On the right scroll down to NHC/TPC archives and click.
Scroll down to you see Hurricane Best Track Files then click on Atlantic Track Files revised march 1 2005. If you like lots of data you will be in heaven.
A project to re-analyze storms of the past will get to the 1960's next year, then you will get excellent info on hurricanes of the 40', 50's and 60's. Many of these had winds that are way to high and will be downgraded a category or two. Hazel in 1954 comes to mind.
Be sure to check the HURDAT link on the NHC site under NHC/|TPC archives.

You can also email Chris Landsea to receive updates on the Re-Analysis Project.

We have mapped all tropical systems from 1851 using the HURDAT data mentioned in the post above (by StormWarning1) Each map includes the track data, intensity, min. pressure, etc. for each system. Includes maps for the 4 NOT NAMED and 1 SUB TROP storms requested.

Edit: we update this data as the "Best Track Re-analysis" efforts are completed/released by Dr. Landsea.

You're probably covered by the previous post responses, but here's another that I use:
