next year when I get the money I want to get a .45 acp since I'll be doing reloads and the bullets for a 45 are overpriced!! I have a HP, and Glock34. Im thinking between Kimber or the custom shop STI. Kimbers seem to jam like crazy though. STI look neat but are REALLY expensive.

para also has alot to choose from but I dont think their trigger pulls are as light. I like to have under 5 punds. My glock is 3.5 pounds standard But I want to get the trigger disconect on it which cuts the travel down.

I know you want a .45,but have you ever looked at FN-Five-Seven??Its a 20 round shot and it was just for mitary only but now anyone can get one.The bullets look just like a M-16 but a lot smaller!!!Up so far the reviews on the pistol has been very good.

Where can you get one though. Impact guns list it as "The Five-seveN is available from FN for government or law enforcement sales only." With it's ability to penetrate body armor I don't think you will see it for sale soon.

My gun range was selling one. The trigger pull is HORRIBLE on it though. You can still buy the armor peircing military rounds on the internet I hear but they are like 100 buks a box. Also i want something I can reload. I was thinking about the Kimber CDP in 4 inch barrel for self defense carry/car use but my dad has one and it jams jams jams. Also I have a .40 cal hi power FN which I can use for conceal.

I guess it would all come down to why you want one. Are you looking for some higher power CCW protection? Are you looking to collect? Are you looking to just have fun at the range?

As my old STL MPD rangemaster put it...

"If you can't do the job with a .357, you're trying to do something you shouldn't."

Besides, revolvers are more reliable mechanically than most autoloaders. :larrow:

I've got my Daddy's Browning side-by-side 12 gauge - that's all I need! Dave, however, has other requirements... can you say "arsenal"?
