I'm back but not good
i know my problems are small compared to some of those in South Mississippi, and NOLA. my heart goes out to them. First I want to say that me and my family are all alive and healthy. However, i lost everything during Katrina. I had a large tree go through my trailor making it unlivable. A power surge burned up every electrical applince I have, and a tree crushed my van. I have been staying with family and at shelters. The good news is that FEMA has already inspected my property and should get some help soon. I just wanted everyone to know how I was doing, and how I fared. I'm at work tonight and have internet access.

Glad to hear you are OK...hopefully things will get back to normal for you as soon as possible.
We made our way through Mobile on Monday night (last week) and was shocked at how much Mobile had been impacted. We tried to cross the bay on highway 90 or 98...cant remember which...and ran into a flooded and completely dark downtown...with the only light coming from news crews set up where the flooding occured.
I was wondering how you were doing...there were all sorts of trees down and powerlines down everywhere in addition to the flooding...and was hoping you were OK.
