Will Maria reach 115 mph (major hurricane status)?

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Mon Sep 05, 2005 5:49 pm

Hurricane Maria, or like I call it "Comet Maria" because of her solid CDO around the center and long tail that looks almost like a comet, continues to become better organized and is nearing that monster line between category 2 and 3. Will Maria make it to category three status before the westerlies and cooler water start to work againt her? Time will tell but we can guess.

With the well defined eye. I think see was one for a short time. I don't think they will upgrade her because it will start to move into cooler waters.

I give her 50/50. If she doesn't do it by tomorrow morning, or if ANY weakening occurs, then no.

I like her, she's like the good sister of Katrina.
