Favorite Disney characters..

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Sat Sep 03, 2005 12:25 pm

What are some of everybody's favorite Disney characters if ya'll got some..

I have suddenly become practically obsessed with Nemo. The fish from the Finding Nemo movie lol

I have a box of Nemo fruit snacks and Nemo cereal in my pantry and there's a beach towel in Wal Mart's Disney area with Nemo on it.. lol

I don't know why.. But I suddenly find myself wanting goodies with Nemo.

Well, maybe a Disney-image is hard to conjure up right now. I'm telling you what, it feels as though you were anticipating Christmas to come and it never did. I have a heavy heart these days and I am most appreciate of what I have to be most thankful (family, health, food, water). I can't even think of a happy image like Mickey Mouse walking around.....sorry!

Mary

PS - then again, look at Alicia's zip......LOL Maybe I'd be very weary of the whole Disney-driven-touristy mess down there too!

Ditto that, Mary.

Right now, Disney, Desperate Housewives, all that...eh. I can't think about a little orange animated fictional fish getting flushed out to sea when all this is going on in real life.

Thanks Shawn! And if you of all people, major Disney fan, can't even feel happy with a MM image, that is certainly saying something.

Give this country some time and we will need images like Disney conjures up. I'll want to watch a sappy, happily ever after ending Disney movie (original Parent Trap comes to mind) just to escape. But in the end, there really is no excape.

This all feels like post 9/11. When you had the rug pulled out from under you. Our country will survive.

But what we need to do is make a solemn promise never to let survivors languish for days, w/o food and water, ever again.

Mary

I'm glad I noticed this thread. I need some distraction now that it's becoming more possible that Wilma will exit the FL peninsula practically right over my home in Boynton Beach or my daughter's new home in Vero Beach....

My fave Disney characters are Puumba (especially!) , Chip'n'Dale, Winnie the Pooh, and Mickey. :D

Gotta go with Pocahontas, Mulan and the Cinderella/Snow White tag-team.

With an honorable mention to the "Beast" (Belle wasn't that hot).

I love Cinderella - so optimistic and sweet!! Other than her, I have to vote for Lady (Lady and the Tramp-so much like our dogs) and Dorie on Nemo...."Nope, nothin' in my noggin....". It doesn't get much better than an absent minded fish. :)

Dorie is great! I love her too. Also Snow White, after all she was the first Disney princess. As a child I loved Goffy, well because he made me laugh.
They seem to change all the time.........Right now Dorie seems to be on of my most favirote.

T - I - double GRR... - That Spells Tigger! My favorite, and also the character whose pictures and figurines that I saw the most of throughout our school districts' facilities and office cubicles (9 yrs as "the phone man"). We didn't have a tiger theme or anything, and you'd still see a lot of Pooh and Piglet, Mickey, Pluto and Donald. Tigger dominated, though.

Yeah, as a 30+ year resident, the Disney thing was way cool at first, but with the rising costs and overdevelopment of Central Florida, for most grownups the magic has been ground-down by making ends meet and sitting in traffic. I can't say that I'm burned out on Disney, but it's expensive and usually too crowded for me.

As kids, we got a tour of the Kingdom while in construction. I've got a bunch of photos of the rides and hotels in progress (Jungle Cruise animals partially assembled, etc). We had to wear these dorky silver helmets, but it was still fun. I also still have a bunch of "E" Tickets, coupons, nametags and stuff. I'm not a collector, and I bet a lot of us from those early years of Disney in Florida have little assortments of these things.

My close second Disney favorite is Figaro, the kitten from Pinnochio.
