Alligators attacking people in flood waters from Katrina

Just saw channel 4 news New Orleans. They are talking with this poor old lady. She said she seen alligators attacking people in the flood waters. Several people died from alligator attacks. Several people including a couple of babies died from the attacks. :cry:

That is just horrible if it's true. I hope the still stranded can hang on a little longer, they should all be out by sunday. :(

Very grim. It's likely that their habits and food supply have been seriously disrupted by the hurricane, and they are just feeding on what moves around them.

Exactly! My Mama and I were talking, last night, and she was telling
me about how they advised people to watch out for water moccasins,
spiders, and fire ants. I was thinkin'...hmmmmm...Louisiana....alligators...
And, I told her, I'd be looking for 'gators in the waters. You know they
got misplaced from their usual breeding grounds, too.
