Both Record breaking Storms. I hope this isn't a trend.

If Invest 92 formed next it would be Maria :eek:

Dennis and Emily were the only hurricanes in succesion ever to reach the same peak pressure (930mb). :eek: :eek:

91L is going to form way before 92L is. 91L has a 2.0 t number with well defined LLC with convection developing. 92L will be nate if every thing works out.

You forgot Dennis had 130 knots. With some data to support 135 knots.

Emily is rated at 155 with Dennis 150 though I agree with you it was 155 like Emily. It was like someone hit the copy button with these two so alike.

Also Katrina was upgraded at first to a cat5 based on 153 knots. In which is the same for Emily peak for a short time around 03z. So they where both cat5s.
