It was on Sunday so I guess so.... that was when she was a Cat 5(since it's daylight).

Look just above the sun's shadow extreme right of picture. Cirrus is
being blown away towards the right at top of rim...evidence of either
the anticyclone or right to left circulation.

That picture clearly shows the stadium effect, the sheer awesome beauty of a historic storm, and provides much more than a suggestion of annularity.

I imagine that pictures like this one will be extensively analyzed in order to try to understand the causes of annularity. From the perspective of that photograph, I cannot believe that Katrina was not annular.

I commented on that a couple of times on either Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun, but I don't need any convincing of my own suspicions now, I have proof.

Absolutely one of the best hurricane pictures I've ever seen.
