Terrorist Attack Hypotheses
As of 29 August 2005, several terrorist organizations have taken credit for the hurricane, claiming that Katrina is the implementation of a radical new form of attack in their ongoing war against civilization. These fantastic claims are not yet being taken seriously by major Western media outlets, although several hypotheses exist for how Islamists could be involved in Katrina's formation.
Some sources believe that an Islamist country such as Iran may have developed a groundbreaking new weather-control machine capable of creating a tropical storm. However, as Islamists reject science and technology, and the only Islamic technologists are Western-trained engineering students whose experience is limited to building pipe bombs, this hypothesis is considered unlikely.
