AT 10 AM CDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION KATRINA WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 36.3 NORTH...LONGITUDE 87.5 WEST OR ABOUT 25
MILES SOUTH OF CLARKSVILLE TENNESSEE.
THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHEAST NEAR 21 MPH
AND THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS
WITH AN INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. KATRINA
IS EXPECTED TO BECOME EXTRATROPICAL DURING THE NEXT 12 TO 24 HOURS.
ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 985 MB...29.09 INCHES.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED
MAXIMUM AMOUNTS OF 6 INCHES...WILL ACCOMPANY KATRINA ACROSS THE

Yes she will become the most costiest storm. She hit a very large area with alot of people/homes/business/budges in which it has distoryed countless towns or cities. You can't say that about Andrew that "only" did its dirty work in a retirement dade county. No Katrina is flooding a Major city which is New orleans. In with 80 percent under water. Some areas up to 20 feet.
There is no way this storm is going to be less then 50 billion dollars. In maybe more.
This is my option. Yes Andrew was bad but he was a compacted thing like Charley. This is what we have feared. In which not only is tha large/huge hurricane of cat4 power hits the united states. But it also doe's great damgae to a major city.

So your going to believe soming that came out Yesterday? In which they did not have a idea on the damage? New orleans in all this other damage is going to cost alot more then a small area of winds little Andrew done. Not trying to degrade Andrew because he was bad. But this caused a Heck of alot more damage.
