Geesh.... Getting very dry here... Grass is getting crunchy and i have had to add water to my pool twice in the last two weeks.... Give me some relief will ya........................

It should be on it's way over to the east coast..we didn't get any here. The west coast seabreeze and sw flow puhed anything that formed well inland. We had a severe thunderstorm warning for the eastern part of my county notta for me!!! :cry:

I think it's supposed to be more widespread monday according to the dicussion I read!! :roll:

It is THUNDERING here!

Sun is out and some dark clouds to the north/northeast and south of me. The storm I hear is to my northeast.

I did read the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Pasco County, that cell moved into Sumter County, the county I am in... but the southern side, I am at the northern border with Marion County.

Thunderstorm chances across central Florida are higher than they have been for a long time all this week into next week.

Jonathan, we were quite close this afternoon into the evening. Thunderstorms to my east right now.

As I said earlier and I am sure you know, there are thunderstorm chances across central Florida for at least the next five days, as of this afternoon. :wink:

you think your situation is bad...this is currently happening to the Great Lakes....I had to do a presentation on this subject for my Environmental Geology class.

We barely had any snowfall and if we did, it was the light and fluffy stuff with little water concentration. Temperatures were mainly mild leading to higher evaporation on the Lakes causing the water levels to drop due to the Ice-Free Conditions. Lake Michigan/Huron Basin is only a few inches from the 1965 All-time Record Low. As for Lake Superior, 1926 is the all-time Record Low and because of the light snow pack this year, the snow melts did little for replenishing the water levels on Superior. Lake Superior is the feeder lake, and if Superior is low, there is a great chance that all the Lakes are Low. Precipitation was rather low for the winter season. Usually we have a dozen Panhandle Hookers that come from Oklahoma, but this winter season, we only had 2 or 3. Panhandle Hookers bring the heavy amounts of snowfall. Alberta Clippers kept gracing us with their presence...which inturn only brought 1-3" at the most.

Houston isn't doing much better...we're about 6 inches below...*sigh*....
I watched a new home owner putting in sod...hehhehe over about a 1/4 of an acre heheheh What a waste of money....*putting on my dancing shoes* I think I'll try a rain dance...anyone want to join me? :roll:

Picked up about 2 tenths last night... At least it was at night, so my grass had time to soak it all up, but we need some more!

Hopefully soon, the GOM will supply the moisture and a s/w disturbance will slide down and give the necessary rain/thunderstorms to recharge the ground moisture.
