Stop and think about the little people before New Orleans
We need to stop for a minute and put in a good word for all of the people in the nice little towns along the LA coast south of New Orleans. If the current track holds our only inhabited barrier island Grand Isle will be slaughtered. Along with Port Fourchon, Leeville, and Golden Meadow along with many others. They bring tons of money into the state every year with their massive fishing industry. I know all of the attention is on New Orleans, but these towns will get the first blow, and who knows what will be left as all of that area is also at or below sea level. Good luck guys, hope to hear from ya'll soon.

Oh us locals do ....
It's the media that forgets about the small towns. We been drinking and talking about Grande Isle all night long. Venice is another one that looks like it may meet the eye of Katrina.
We also hope all from Morgan City and Houma make it through safely if they stayed. I just hope those in danger have made it to safer grounds.
