Intellicast radar New Orleans

#1 Postby mtm4319 » Sun Aug 28, 2005 10:45 pm

If you're tracking on Google Earth, the eye is now in view.

I'm using jschlitz's idea of hosting on ImageShack because of the thumbnails, but I may post some of them in full.

The white line is the NHC forecast track. And for those who are reading, let me know what features you would like or not like on there (lat/lon, roads, cities, etc.) because I can add and remove those elements very easily.

I would take the lat/long lines off and put in cities, rivers, lake and parishes. Its a nice map, thanks for sharing.

This is the best I can do at the time, with the eye as far off the coast as it is:

You just need to make a new image overlay with the location at the following:

http://www.intellicast.com/WeatherImage ... +icast.gif

And the parameters at:

North: 31.802955°
South: 27.330834°
East: -87.023538°
West: -94.257629°

And refresh it every now and then (or just set to periodically view-based refresh every 5 minutes).

I just made placemarks for each 12-hour point and connected the dots with the Path tool in GE.

BTW, I'm not going to post any more updates until a few hours before landfall (if I'm awake then).

So I thank you for all the hard work!
