Official N.O. weather forcast for Monday??

#1 Postby MetroMike » Sun Aug 28, 2005 9:38 pm

Monday...Widespread rain. Strong winds. Highs in the lower 80s. Northwest winds 55 to 70 mph becoming west and Decreasing to 35 to 70 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 100 percent.

At least they said 100% chance of rain this time.

But get real people over there....only tropical storm force winds????
Kind of belittles all those warnings and such.

I read NWS New Orleans also. Accuweather met on Fox just predicted 100 mph sustained for New Orleans with 125 mph gusts. Also predicts 50-60% of city be flooded by this time tomorrow

I smell some corruption among the editors of the forcasts at N.O. forecast office.
