Thanks. And I echo the sentiment. Everbody, please be careful. Take this seriously, and come together after she's gone so we can get things right again as quickly as possible. I fear this is going to be a long haul.

Our Governor, Jeb Bush said that Florida would be lending a hand to everyone in the disaster zone just as you all did for us in the '04 season. Although you will have to ride out the storm without us, we will be here when you emerge with helping hands and open hearts, know that, believe that. It made all the difference to us here last year to see folks from other states (including Mississippi, Lousiana and Alabama) coming as fast as they could to lend a helping hand. We as Floridians know the anguish and the pain a disaster like this brings and what better folks to return the favor than other refugees from hurricanes.

Godspeed to you all! see you when the sun shines again!

My Thoughts and Prayers

#4 Postby Windtalker1 » Sun Aug 28, 2005 8:38 pm

are with you all. After being without power for 3 days from a Cat 1 and being 8 miles from where she came in here in Florida, I can only think about what you all must face in the days to come. May GOD be with you all.

Awesome post, Seaswing, and I agree completely!

Hugs and prayers for everyone affected by Katrina tonight and tomorrow, and remember ... we are here for you in the long days ahead.

On I-75 in Florida I saw several convoys of bucket trucks heading north. I hope the recovery process goes well where ever Katrrina makes landfall.

After spending all day today raking my in-laws' yard from a minimal cat. 1, I echo the sentiments of best wishes and many prayers to you all. Please be careful, and come back to us at Storm 2K as soon as you can.

I add my good thoughts for everyone in Katrina's path. She was supposed to hit us, but went south in the last few hours. My heart goes out to those who will feel the full brunt of this incredible storm.

Godspeed from Miami-Dade. She hit us hard as a Cat 1, and I know how we were affected. My thoughts go to all of you in the path. Be as safe as possible, and we will do all we can when it's all over. We are thinking of you.

God Bless You All!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you! I will not be able to sleep tonight...instead, I will be praying hard for all of you.

We in Florida appreciate all of the help that we received last year and are ready to repay some of your kindness.

Remember, the grass is always greener on the other side!
