Help me interpret what I'm seeing...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Help me interpret what I'm seeing...

Seems in the last hour based on long range radar from New Orleans, she is headed due north now. This has not been confirmed by NHC or NWS but would appreciate others viewing this too.

Looks about NNW to me, the visible loops show the storm right on track.

However, aren't the visible loops older than the NWS radar info?

I think I would tend to agree it's moving north, but then I don't necessarily think 45 minutes defines it as a trend. We'll need a little more time to know for sure.

Maybe in the short term, but what's the trend?? I bet its still NW. I would expect the storm to "stairstep" to the west within the next hour. Everything I have seen shows this storm still right on track. Does anyone see anything different??
